About Search Intent Collision Map

Crawl a site and reveal pages that may be competing for the same search demand. The tool uses deterministic text similarity to shortlist plausible overlaps, then asks a structured decision model to distinguish related coverage from genuine intent collisions before drawing the site-wide map.

Frequently asked questions

What is search intent cannibalization?
Search intent cannibalization happens when multiple pages on one site try to satisfy substantially the same search goal. Search engines may alternate between them, divide signals across both, or choose the weaker page. Similar wording alone is not enough: two pages can discuss the same topic while serving different stages or questions, which is why this tool evaluates intent after its lexical prefilter.
Does every overlapping pair need to be merged?
No. Related pages often deserve to remain separate when each owns a clear task, audience, or funnel stage. Merge when two pages are substitutes and their useful material belongs in one stronger canonical resource. Differentiate when both pages are valuable but their titles, headings, and coverage do not make their distinct purposes obvious.
Why does the tool shortlist pairs before using AI?
A site with 50 pages contains 1,225 possible pairs. Most are obviously unrelated and sending all of them to a model would add cost, latency, and irrelevant context. The deterministic prefilter retains pairs sharing meaningful title, heading, description, or path terms; Jev is then reserved for the genuinely semantic judgment of whether those pages satisfy the same searcher.
Can this replace Search Console data?
No. The map analyzes page content and intended purpose, not real query impressions or rankings. Search Console remains the evidence for whether two URLs actually receive impressions for the same queries. Use this report to find candidates quickly, then validate important decisions against query and conversion data before merging or redirecting pages.
