This page explains what data the DevTools extension and website handle, why it is used, and how it is protected. Most tools on the site need no account and send us nothing at all.
Extension data is stored only in your DevTools account and never exposed to third parties.
Only the active tab URL, title, and an optional note are used when you save a link.
The extension runs only local code and never fetches scripts from external servers.
We do not sell your data, use it for unrelated purposes, or share it without consent.
The DevTools extension collects only the information necessary to save links to your account. This includes the active tab URL, page title, optional note content entered by the user, and any metadata needed to transmit the save request to the DevTools API.
Data is used solely to save links into your DevTools dashboard and to display confirmation notifications when actions succeed or fail. No browsing history is stored outside of the explicit save action initiated by the user.
We do not collect any personal identity data, financial information, health data, or user communications. The extension does not monitor clicks, scrolling, keystrokes, or any unrelated activity.
We do not sell or share user data with third parties except as required to process the save request through the DevTools API. Data is only shared with the user's own DevTools account backend.
You can remove individual saved links at any time from your dashboard. You can also delete your account from your profile page, which permanently removes your account and everything stored against it.
If you have questions about this privacy policy, please reach out through the DevTools website.
